Artist’s Eye Walk

Join our Volunteer Guides on a walk that explores plants, flowers and shrubs through the creative eyes of artists.  

When we borrow The Artist’s Eye an entire new way of looking is open to us and can give us a broader understanding of plants, different to how a botanist or horticulturalist may view the world. 

Colour, texture, form and imagination are some of the tools available to the artist when looking at the natural world. Discover what this means for observation of scientific features and botanical illustration.

Join us on this evocative, explorative and mind-expanding walk and see what an artist does with their tools – you’ll not look at the garden in the same way again! 

A light lunch will be provided at the end of the walk.
