Autumn Bird Watching Walk

Join local birding guide Eric Finley on a morning walk to see some of the Garden's beautiful birds and learn about their habitats.

Ticket holders to meet at the Gardens front entry gates at 7:50am to gain early-bird entry.

Autumn is the best time for the opportunity to witness the honeyeater migration. 

Eric has useful tips on how to spot typical Blue Mountains species and identify birds by appearance and calls. Begin the walk before the Garden opens and when the birds are at their most active. 

Participants will be sent a bird sightings list created by Eric as a record of all species you saw on the day.

Please bring:

  • Walking shoes
  • Sunhat
  • Sunscreen
  • Bottle of water
  • Raincoat for light rain
  • Binoculars
  • Camera (optional)


Weather check – in light rain, event will go ahead. In the event of heavy rain, ticket holders will be contacted and the event will be postponed to a later date.
