Mosaic bird workshop with Jane du Rand Studio

In this introductory mosaics workshop you will learn from ceramic and mosaic artists, Jane du Rand and Susan Trimble from the Jane du Rand Studio.

Create a mosaic bird to hang in your home or amongst your plants outside, selecting your favourite native Australian bird from a range of existing ceramic pieces that have been made in Jane’s studio.

Jane and Susan will begin the workshop with an introduction to mosaics and guide you on how to use shapes and colours to create different effects in your mosaic. Learn how to cut mosaic tiles into different shapes to achieve different effects and attach them to your ceramic piece, as well as how to grout the finished piece.
