Come early to enjoy festive, family-friendly pre-show entertainment, activities, activations, delicious food and drinks, and twilight magic as we count down to the start of the main show.
Enjoy the show with a touch of luxury in the Premium Reserved area with the option of a regular style chair or beach club–style seating for comfort and convenience or opt for the reserved picnic lawn in TinselTown. The event will occupy The Domain’s Phillip Precinct from Tuesday 15 December 2026 and returning to the public on Tuesday 22 December 2026.
Yes, the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney will be open as normal. Access to pedestrian pathways will be maintained at all times.
We encourage patrons to use public transport to and from the event:
- Train: exit via St James, Martin Place or Circular Quay
- Ferry: walk to The Domain from Circular Quay
- Bus: for timetables, maps and trip planning visit www.transportnsw.info
To facilitate easier patron access and parking in the vicinity please note the following traffic changes will occur:
- Traffic delays: Traffic delays anticipated from 12 noon and on egress between 10pm - 11.30pm on both Friday 18 December and Saturday 19 December.
- Drop off zone: An event drop off zone will be operational on the corner of Hospital and Art Gallery Roads.
- Friday 18 December commencing at 4pm to 8pm
- Saturday 19 December commencing at 12pm to 11pm
- Road Closures: Art Gallery Rd will be closed to inbound traffic from 8pm to 11.30pm on Saturday 19 December. Vehicles are able to exit, except during main pedestrian egress periods. Wider CBD closures may be implemented from 9.30pm as per Police operations, please visit www.livetraffic.com.
- Footpath Closures: Access to pedestrian pathways will be maintained at all times except during drone operations taking place intermittently in the Crescent Precinct on Friday 18 December and Saturday 19 December between 7pm - 11pm. Pedestrians will be diverted to take alternative routes to and from the Domain Carpark entry/exit during drone flights as advertised on detour signs posted within the Domain Carpark.
- Parking restrictions / parking availability: Limited metered parking is available on Mrs Macquaries Road and the Domain Carpark. For prices visit: www.domaincarpark.com.au.
Mobility Pass Holder access: No additional accessibility parking above what is usually available at The Domain Sydney.
-The drop off zone will be located on Hospital Road and corner of Art Gallery Road.
-The pick up zone will be located on St Mary’s Rd. Please enter via the east Sir John Young Crescent.

Sound checks and rehearsals will be carried out intermittently from:
- Wednesday 16 December 5pm to 8pm TBC
- Thursday 17 December 6pm to 9.15pm TBC
- Friday 18 December 4.30pm to 11pm TBC
Event sound will be carried out intermittently from:
- Saturday 19 December 11am to 11pm.
Fireworks displays will also take place throughout the event during this time.
Drone operations will also take place intermittently on Friday 18 December and Saturday 19 December between 7pm - 11pm.
