Where Sydney celebrates, works out and plays

The Domain Sydney is one of the oldest, and most extensive public and cultural landscapes in Australia.

Nestled between Sydney’s CBD and the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney, and gazing out to Sydney Harbour, no other venue in Sydney can offer major event capabilities that blend seamlessly with historic and natural charm.

Its tree-lined paths and well-manicured gardens also make it a great place to relax, exercise, or just enjoy the outdoors.

The Domain’s four precincts – the Phillip Precinct, Yurong Precinct, Tarpeian Precinct and Crescent Precinct – are available for outdoor public events including concerts, festivals, dance parties, open-air cinema, sports and lifestyle events.

The Domain holds some of the most popular and longest-running annual events in Sydney, including:

  • The nationally televised 'Carols in the Domain' at Christmas.

  • Live music and arts events like Jazz in the Domain, Opera in The Domain, Westpac OpenAir Cinema, Handa Opera on Sydney Harbour, Field Day, Oktoberfest, HarbourlifeMother’s DayClassic Sydney Writers' Festival, Sydney International Food Festival and Music by the Sea (to name a few)

  • New Year's Eve: the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney and The Domain Sydney are popular venues to celebrate New Year's Eve with fireworks and entertainment for the whole family.
