Opening hours

The Royal Botanic Garden is open daily, from 7am to sunset.

The Garden is open every day of the year, however opening hours vary throughout. Please visit the dine and shop page for restaurant, cafe and the Garden Shop opening hours.

October7am – 7:30pm
March7am – 6:30pm
April, September7am – 6pm
May, August 7am – 5:30pm
June, July7am – 5pm 

Conditions of entry and safety

Entry into the Garden is free except for special ticketed events.

Making sure all guests are safe and have an enjoyable experience is our priority.

  • Stay vigilant: watch out for falling debris
  • Avoid sheltering under trees: trees can attract possible lightning

In cases of extreme weather the Garden may close early for the safety of visitors.
