A state of the art trail in your backyard
The Wollondilly Macarthur Mountain Bike Club entered into an agreement with the Australian Botanic Garden Mount Annan in 2019, and has been successful in the rejuvenation of the Garden's Mountain Bike (MTB) Trail, creating a state-of-the-art trail right in your backyard!
The mountain bike trail is suitable for new riders and families, riders building skills and fitness, right through to the more experienced looking for fun, fast laps.
The trail network is made up of a 1km Kids Loop (easy), 4km Family Loop (easy), 3km Intermediate Trail (moderate) and a 4km Advanced Trail (moderate to hard) – or you can link these together to ride the main loop of just over 10km. There are large maps at the start of each trail and directional signs to guide you on the trails.
There are many natural and man-made features to enjoy, such as log rolls, small drops, berms, creek crossings, bridges and small jumps, along with a few lung-testing short climbs. All the features are well marked, and on most, there is an easy alternate line (B-line).
For more information on the Trail and the status, please refer to the Garden Mountain Bike Trail's dedicated Facebook page here.
