Our guides will show you plants and displays of seasonal interest, give you an overview of the Garden's rich and unique history and introduce you to some of the birds who make this Garden their home.

Walks begin and end at the Visitor Centre adjacent to the main carpark. Please be aware that this walk involves negotiating stairs and inclines and that a reasonable level of fitness and good mobility are required. 

These walks are designed for individuals or small groups (maximum six people*). Numbers for each walk are capped at a total of 15.

Public Walking Tour 

  • All tours are 1 hour 15 minutes and start at 11:30am
  • Every Sunday
  • Wednesdays (3rd of the month) for spring: September, October, November
  • Fridays (except 2nd and 4th of the month) for spring: September, October, November
  • Always call the Visitor Centre (02) 4567 3000 to check tour is proceeding
  • Only six people per individual booking*. Maximum 15 people on tour.
  • By Donation. Bookings not required. Please meet at the Visitor Centre at least 5 minutes before walk due to depart.

Private Group Tour

Private 1-hour 15min walking tour starts from $14 pp (minimum charge $140). Day and time are flexible.
