Full Competition Terms and Conditions (T&Cs)
Win One of Two Family Passes to The Wind in the Willows at Royal Botanic Garden Sydney (Competition)
1. Eligibility Requirements:
To be eligible to enter the Competition, entrants must:
1.1 be a resident of Australia aged 18 years or over;
1.2 not be a current or former employee of Botanic Gardens of Sydney (BGS), or their immediate family members, or any person associated with the running of this Competition (‘Immediate family member’ means any of the following: spouse, de-facto partner, child, step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent or step-parent); and
1.3 be an individual, not a company or organisation.

2. Competition Period:
2.1 This Competition commences at 10am AEDT on 6 January 2026 and concludes at 12pm AEDT on 8 January 2026. (Competition Period).
2.2 No responsibility is accepted by BGS for late, lost, delayed or misdirected entries.
3. Agreement to Rules:
In entering the Competition, the entrant:
3.1 is deemed to acknowledge and agree to be bound by these T&Cs, regardless of the manner in which the entrant applied for or used any services or features described in these T&Cs;
3.2 represents and warrants that they meet the Eligibility Requirements;
3.3 acknowledges this Competition is a game of chance, and skill does not play a part;
3.4 acknowledges that completing all the requirements set out in these T&Cs to enter the Competition does not guarantee winning a prize; and
3.5 agrees to provide BGS with their personal information, including but not limited to their full name, phone number, and email address.
4. How to Enter:
4.1 To enter this Competition the entrant must, during the Competition Period:
4.1.1 meet the Eligibility Requirements;
4.1.2 fully complete and submit the Competition’s online entry form;
4.1.3 agree on entry to subscribe to the BGS newsletter; and
4.1.4 agree on entry to consent to their details being added to the BGS marketing database for future communications.

4.2 Entrants must submit only one Valid Entry per person during the Competition Period.
4.3 An entry will be deemed invalid and disqualified from the Competition if an entrant:
4.3.1 does not meet the Eligibility Requirements;
4.3.2 does not submit a Valid Entry;
4.3.3 submits an entry after the Competition Period; or
4.3.4 enters the Competition more than once.

4.4 No fee is charged by BGS to enter this Competition. However, ordinary phone or internet service charges may apply.
5. Prize:
5.1 Entrants who submit a Valid Entry during the Competition Period will have a chance to win one of two family passes (4 event tickets per Winner), each family pass valued at $110 AUD (Prize). This Wind in the Willows event is a ticketed event produced by the Australian Shakespeare Company and is held at Royal Botanic Garden Sydney (near Main Pond) with the season event dates running from 9 January 2026 to 25 January 2026. 5.2 The Prize is non-transferable, valid and redeemable as follows: Each family pass (4 event tickets) is valued at $110 AUD (Prize). A physical gift certificate will be issued to each Winner for the event with a voucher code. The voucher code will also be emailed to each Winner. If the Winner is unable to attend during the season event dates, from 9 January 2026 to 25 January 2026, the tickets may be redeemed for another family theatre production presented by the Australian Shakespeare Company up until 30 November 2026, subject to availability.
5.3 Any additional transport or accommodation costs incurred by the Winner are at their own personal expense and are not included in the Prize.
6. Winner Selection and Notification:
6.1 Each winner will be determined as follows:
6.1.1 at the end of the Competition Period, each Valid Entry will be entered into a process of random selection (Draw) to nominate the winning entrant (Winner);
6.1.2 there will be two Draws with two corresponding Winners;
6.1.3 the two Draws are undertaken by a Botanic Gardens of Sydney staff member and will take place at Royal Botanic Garden Sydney, Mrs Macquaries Road, Sydney New South Wales 2000 at 1pm AEDT on 8 January 2026;
6.1.4 the Draw may randomly select additional Valid Entries in circumstances where an Invalid Entry is drawn;
6.1.5 entrants are not required to be physically present at the Draw to be eligible to win the Prize;
6.2 BGS reserves the right, to validate and check the authenticity of entries and the entrant's identity (including an entrant's name, residential address, email address or phone number).
6.3 BGS reserves the right to disqualify entries in the event of non-compliance with the Eligibility Requirements and these T&Cs.
7. Notification:
7.1 Each Winner will be contacted by phone and email (Message) by BGS within 24 hours of the Draw. The Winner must acknowledge they are a Winner when contacted by phone or respond to the Message within 24 hours of receiving the Message in order to claim the Prize.
7.2 If the Winner cannot be contacted by BGS, fails to respond to the Message or fails to claim the Prize within 24 hours of the draw, the Prize will be forfeited by the Winner and an alternative winner will be selected through the conduct of a further Draw that follows the same process outlined at clause 6(a) (Alternative Winner).
7.3 Each Alternative Winner will receive a Message within 24 hours of the Draw. The Alternative Winner must acknowledge and respond to the Message within 24 hours of receiving the Message to claim the Prize.
7.4 The Alternative Winner forfeits the Prize and no further redraw will occur in the event the Alternative Winner does not respond to the Message within 24 hours of BGS sending the Message. If the Prize is forfeited by the Winner and Alternative Winner, BGS will publish this information on the Competition website.
8. Privacy
8.1 BGS will collect, manage and use entrants’ personal information in accordance with the BGS Privacy Statement located at https://www.botanicgardens.org.au/privacy-policy (Privacy Statement), in order to:
8.1.1 conduct the Competition;
8.1.2 contact the Winner or Alternative Winner;
8.1.3 use entrants’ name, image, and statements about the Competition for promotional purposes in any media, without further consultation with, approval from or compensation to the entrant, where permitted by law; and
8.1.4 contact entrants with future communications, promotions, newsletters, and information about BGS’ products or services. Entrants can opt out of receiving these communications at any time by following the unsubscribe link in the emails or contacting BGS directly.
8.2 Except as disclosed in the Privacy Statement or required by law, BGS will not provide your personal information collected to third parties.
8.3 There is no legal requirement for entrants to provide BGS with personal information when they enter the Competition, but failing to provide their personal information may mean the entrant has not submitted Valid Entry.
9. Terms and Conditions:
9.1 Botanic Gardens of Sydney reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the Competition at any time should any unauthorised intervention, fraud, or other cause beyond its control affect the administration, security, fairness, or proper conduct of the Competition. Entrants will be notified of any changes to these terms and conditions within a reasonable time before the Draw takes place.
10. Dispute Resolution:
10.1 Any disputes arising in connection with the competition, including but not limited to eligibility, entry validity, or prize allocation, will be reviewed and resolved by BGS in direct consultation with the respective entrant and in accordance with the BGS Competition Dispute Resolution Procedure accessed here or by request via email to [email protected].
