Discover educational excursions for school groups and school holidays at the Botanic Gardens of Sydney.

We offer engaging outdoor learning experiences for all ages, enhancing the curriculum for students and teachers alike.

From early learners to Year 12 and beyond, our excursions provide unique learning experiences that can't be replicated in the classroom.

Our programs provide rich and relevant learning across our three gardens that compliment learning in First Nations history and culture, Science, Geography, or History.

Introduce children to the wonder of nature. Educators will help them find bugs, build cubbies and create natural art.
School students visit the succulent garden
Hands-on programs exploring plants and wildlife, from seed collections to First Nations knowledge.
School students on an excursion at the lake at Mount Annan
Discover everything from rainforest ecosystems, sustainability programs and the evolution of native flora.

We believe in providing learning opportunities for all children.

Our educational experiences are informed by eco-pedagogy and 8-Ways Aboriginal pedagogy and will enhance learning in various Key Learning Areas.

Our academic programs are designed to be inclusive, with learning taking place through embodied experiences with a focus on nature as a mentor.

All activities encourage imaginative, emotional, and playful outdoor learning for all weather conditions. Our goal is to empower students to learn by doing and to foster a sense of self, community, and connection to nature.
