Botanica Exhibition

The exhibition’s working title is The Art of Deception and Disguise, and is an invitation to unmask the hidden aspects of the natural world. What does nature's masquerade ball look like? 

Curators Alissa Cook and Katharine Rogers, with the support of Judy Dunstan, invite you to consider how charade, pageantry, and mimicry feature in the botanical world. From the Tawny Frogmouth blending into tree bark to the shapeshifting Boquila trifliolata vine or the bee orchid that lures its prey through false pretence, the spellbinding world around us is full of subterfuge and surprise. How will you show us the hidden world of Botanica?
