Globally renowned Australian rockers Ocean Alley are thrilled to announce their biggest Australian headline shows to date, taking place this Summer in support of their upcoming fifth album Love Balloon. They’ll be joined by special guests Nothing But Thieves, Rainbow Kitten Surprise and Ruby Fields.

With a reputation for their magnetic live performances, and a catalogue that’s now surpassed 1 billion streams, Ocean Alley have proven themselves as one of Australia’s most influential contemporary bands. 

After selling out their last local headline run in 2023/2024, Ocean Alley will take their fifth album Love Balloon - set for release on 19 September - on the road in early 2026 for five massive shows around the country.

The event will occupy the Phillip Precinct of The Domain from Monday 26 January 2026 and return to the public on afternoon of Wednesday 4 February 2026.

Yes, the Garden is accessible to the public.

What will the traffic and access impacts be?

We encourage patrons to use public transport to and from the event:

Train: exit via St James, Martin Place or Circular Quay stations

Metro: exit via Martin Place

Ferry: walk from Circular Quay

Road closures:

Art Gallery Road from the corner of Hospital Road will be closed to incoming traffic from 8.00pm on Saturday 31 January 2026.

Police assisted external road closures will be set up and ready from 9:45pm on Saturday 31 January 2026 and implemented when required for event egress. Traffic delays are expected during the event’s egress between 10.00pm and midnight.

  • Prince Albert Rd from Macquarie St to Art Gallery Rd
  • Hospital Rd from Art Gallery Rd to Shakespeare Pl

  • St James Rd from Elizabeth St to Macquarie St
  • College St from Park St to Prince Albert Rd
  • Cathedral St at St Marys Rd

Sound checks and rehearsals for this event will be carried out intermittently on:

  • Friday 30 January 2026 – 4.00pm – 6.00pm
  • Saturday 31 January 2026 – 12.00pm – 5.00pm

Event sound will take place from 5.00pm - 11.00pm on Saturday 31 January 2026.
