Acknowledgment of Country
We honour and respect all Elders and Traditional Custodians of the lands the Botanic Gardens of Sydney stand on. We acknowledge the lands as significant historical, ceremonial and traditional trade grounds.
Country is an important part of First Nations culture and Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander peoples did their best to be good stewards of land and sea. Use this activity to go on a nature walk to observe and listen to Country.
Please join us to create a rope just like the local Cadi people would have used for their hunting, binding, building, clothing and much more!
Community Greening is a program run by the Botanic Gardens of Sydney that builds green spaces in vulnerable communities to connect people to plants and their environment.
With rolling hills and kilometres of pathway, the Garden makes the perfect location for a charity fun run, marathon or school sports activity.
Join Foundation & Friends of the Botanic Gardens and support the work and programs across your Gardens.
